We're hiring volunteers to join our new Outreach Committee


We are thrilled to announce the launch of our brand-new Outreach Committee, and we’re looking for passionate, community-minded leaders to help us build it from the ground up. If you love connecting people, fostering growth, and making a tangible impact, we want to hear from you.


The Mission

The Outreach Committee acts as a bridge between WICRE volunteers, members, and community partners. 

Our goal is to expand our footprint by welcoming new members, managing strategic partnerships, and piloting high-impact initiatives like our upcoming mentorship program. 


Opern positions:


Board Member - Director of Outreach


Key Director Responsibilities:

  • Lead monthly virtual committee meetings and report progress to the Board of Directors, as well as present at our quarterly Board Meetings. 
  • Work alongside Marketing to develop an annual outreach strategy for membership and sponsorship growth.
  • Pioneer unique community initiatives such as mentorship programs and public resources. 
  • Manage and delegate day-to-day outreach tasks as needed such as handling inbound communications or admin within your committee
  • Time commitment is approximately 10-15 hours per month and an initial 1-year commitment.

Ideal Candidate: Someone with prior experience in community engagement, leadership skills, and proven ability to plan, delegate, and execute initiatives. Passion and a positive attitude are a must!


Outreach Committee Member – two positions open


Key Responsibilities within this committee (to be divided according to preference and ability):

  • Manage sponsorship leads and communication
  • Participate in recruitment initiatives (some in-person)
  • Manage external communication with prospective members & other community partners
  • Assist with the planning and execution of community initiatives such as mentorship programs and public resources
  • Time expectation is 4-10 hours per month with an initial 1-year commitment.

Ideal Candidate: A "people person" with great communication skills and a knack for sales or networking. Passion and a positive attitude are a must!
